This season the eighth grade volleyball A-team won 10-2. They made it to the City Championship, but lost to Gorzycki.

“I thought we definitely could’ve won against Gorzycki. We just weren’t playing our best that night,” eight grade A-team player Haley Hyde said.

It takes a lot of determination and time to be part of the A-team.

“The girls were hardworking, dedicated, and coachable,” volleyball coach Lettie

Garza said.

Even though it takes a lot of hard effort to be on the team, it can be really rewarding.

“This season our team was so talented. Everyone played with passion and loved every second of it,” Hyde said.

The coach said the team has improved a lot from last year.

“We improved by individual skills and as a team,” Garza said.

The team was very confident that they where going to beat Gorzycki before the game.

“We had confidence that we could overcome the loss from last year,” eighth grade A-team player Kate Albe said.

Many of the players think that Hannah Erb was the most valuable player.

Albe thought Erb was the most valuable player because “she was a consistent server and setter who never got down on herself.”

The players agree that they had great teamwork and worked hard.

“We worked hard, and we were Zone Champions,” eighth grade A-team player Kristen Ham said.
