The 7th grade girls won district, with Ryann Allison finishing first in the 100 hurdles and second in the 300 hurdles, and had the relay team win all of the relays.
Ryann Allison said about the track season that she, “Liked beating both hurdle records and how everyone came together as one and cheered each on to winning the Southwest Zone Championship.”
The 7th grade boys got second in district, with Chris Garcia breaking the 300 hurdle record, Walker D to break the shot put record, and the relay team to finish first in the 4×2 and the 4×4.
Adrian Rodriguez, the the last leg on the relay team, said “The season was fun,(beating the school record)but certain people had to leave and go putting more pressure on the other relay team members.”
The 8th grade girls won of all of their relays and Kinze Marsales won the mile and the 800.
Kinze said, “I liked being on a team with kids who all could support each other.”Tricity Esparza, the third leg on the relay team, said, “I think we all did a good job and that we had better talent than every school, just not as many kids to fill the events.”
The 8th grade boys relay team got third in the 4×4 and Josh McCormick got third in the hurdles and first in the triple jump.
