Tennis finishes strong

Cougar Tennis started rusty, playing powerhouse schools O’Henry and Murchison, but eventually got their rhythm back.

This the team was undersized but had a huge confidence and courage. Most of the players had little-to-no prior experience at tennis before the tryout; however, the team spent long hard hours outside after school in the hot Texas sun improving their skill.

At the district tennis meet, every single Clint Small Tennis player made it out of the first round, which was the first time this happened in 5-years.

Eighth grader Vikas said, “Tennis was his favorite sport and that he enjoyed the challenge that occurred why playing it.”

Seventh grade girl Reese said she “had fun with her friends playing and that she hopes to return next year and excel.”
